Who is Pro-Solve Technologies, Inc.
Pro-Solve Technologies, Inc., is a market research firm that specializes in providing Internet-hosted sales lead information systems for the law enforcement market. Pro-Solve's LocalStar® product specializes in law enforcement and public safety uses of information technology. We turn our research into sales leads for vendors wanting to deal in that market.
Pro-Solve Technologies, Inc., a woman-owned firm, is a successor company to Federal Procurement Research Corporation which was started in 1988 with a product line consisting of a paper directory of disadvantaged, minority, small, and woman owned high technology businesses. The purpose of this directory was to assist organizations in locating suitable candidates for direct contracting or subcontracting purposes.
Two annual editions of this directory had been published when it was decided to expand the size of the directory by a factor of ten. The anticipated size of the resulting product made the continued publication of a paper directory problematic.
In 1990, Pro-Solve Technologies, Inc., was founded to foster this larger directory, develop the required software, and bring the resulting product to market. In the latter part of 1990, the product was completed. It consisted of over 4,000 disadvantaged, minority, small, and woman owned high technology firms located nationwide.
The next step in Pro-Solve's evolution was the development of the LocalStar lead generation tool. This tool, hosted on the Internet, allows those seeking information technology business in the state and local arenas to discover timely sales leads, enabling them to assemble winning bids for this growing segment of the IT marketplace. LocalStar contains information about state and local markets, such as RFPs and IFBs, in addition to more strategically significant information such as budgets and grant applications and awards, capital spending plans, etc. with an emphasis on the law enforcement arena.
